In 2024, Farma v cave realized six important international trips, which contributed to the development of international cooperation and professional competences in the field of contemporary theatre, physical theatre and cultural management. These activities were supported by the programme of the National Renewal Plan - Call for Development of Competences of Cultural and Creative Sector Workers of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
The first half of the year was devoted to two key journeys. In February, the company participated in the Mugangueni International Dance Training workshop in Mozambique, focusing on African dance techniques, rhythm and improvisation. This intensive training enriched the company's repertoire with new approaches and techniques. In March, a trip was made to New York City, where the company's films were presented at a prestigious festival and connections were made with important cultural institutions such as the Brooklyn Academy of Music and La MaMa.
The second half of the year brought four more trips. At HK PAX in Hong Kong, the ensemble was dedicated to presenting its work, which included a film screening and face-to-face meetings with cultural actors from around the world. The program also included a visit to Macau and the West Kowloon cultural district. At the Tanzmesse Festival in Düsseldorf, the company made new contacts with promoters and artists and discussed possibilities for future collaborations. Another trip led to the CINARS fair in Montreal, where the company's productions were presented and the possibility of guest appearances on the North American stage was discussed. The last trip took place in Taiwan, where Farm in the Cave established cooperation with institutions such as the Taipei Performing Arts Center, the National Theater and Concert Hall and the Shinehouse Theatre, and enriched its know-how in international cultural management.
Thanks to these activities, the Farm in the Cave has become a more visible actor on the international cultural scene, expanded its network of cooperation and strengthened its professional and artistic competences. The project brought new opportunities not only for the company, but also for the development of cultural dialogue between the Czech Republic and abroad. These results underline the importance of the support from the National Recovery Plan and its contribution to contemporary Czech culture.
