Hana Varadzinová is a Czech actress and singer whose work has long been connected with the international theatre ensemble Farm in the Cave. She has been a member of the company since its founding and has participated in all of its projects as either a performer or assistant director. In addition to her own artistic work, she is also involved in teaching and serves as an instructor of the company’s unique performance method, which is based on working with the body, rhythm, and language.

Vojtěch Procházka (* 1981) is a prominent Czech pianist and composer who works at the intersection of jazz and free improvisation. He studied piano, composition, and North Indian classical music in Oslo, Paris, and Prague. With the band Vertigo, which he co-founded in 2002, he has won three Anděl awards for best jazz/blues album of the year (2005, 2011, and 2019). He regularly collaborates with prominent musicians such as Harpreet Bansal, Sisa Feher (KHI), Michaela Antalová (Mikoo), Luboš Soukup (Freetown Quartet), Monika Načeva, and Lucie Páchová (Talaqpo). He composes music for theatre and has worked with Handa Gote, Josef Tuka, Naive Theatre Liberec, and the ALFA Theatre in Plzeň, among others. He has also been creating scores for silent films for over twenty years. He is active in the field of improvised music (with projects such as Krekso, PIO, and ex-Bergljot), and he plays the harmonium in the brass band FSKC Drancy. He teaches in the Jazz Department at the Music and Dance Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts and at New York University in Prague.

Farm in the Cave’s standard space requirements for performances are as follows: a space with good acoustics which can also be completely silent during performances; typically we use a black box or site-specific space with minimal dimensions of 10 x 10 meters, with a height of 6 meters; at least 6 months before the performance our technical team of 2-4 persons must make a preparatory visit.

The maximum number of audience members at individual performances varies, but is usually no more than 450. 
The number of performers per performance varies between 5 and 13, and the technical – production staff is between 4 and 6 people.
The minimum number of performances presented in one place is 2. The company can play 2 performances per day are available on request – the latest start time is 21:00 local time.
 
The length of preparation and adaptation depends on the specific performance and local conditions, with a minimum of 1-2 days necessary prior to the day of the first production.

The organizers pay for: fees; costs of shipping scenography; personnel transport; local transportation to the performance location; housing; per-diems; costs connected with preparatory technical visit. The organizer agrees to pay for costs of equipment rental if the space to be used does not have the equipment necessary.
