Farm in the Cave is looking for female physical performer to take part in REFUGE performance.

ESSENTIAL:

  • A minimum age of 23
  • Solid physicality and sense for musicality and rhythm in the physical expression – we are looking for experienced mover, not necessary a dancer
  • Compatible with or willing to learn company's authentic way of the movement and expression (low core, high energy, “juicy” movement, etc) 
  • Strong personal engagement both in the working process and performing 
  • Demonstrating commitment to and willingness to learn and grow
  • Company strategically prefers performers interested in a long term continual collaboration 
  • Time flexibility 
  • At least basic English

WE OFFER:

  • To understudy part in current show with an opportunity to contribute to the creation of new projects
  • 3,5 years contract for all REFUGE performances performed both in Czech Republic and abroad.
  • Based at the Centre for Contemporary Art DOX, Prague, Czech Republic

We will inform you about call result by 22nd of November.

The audition will take place between 5th and 6th of December 2019 in the form of a two-day  workshop lead by Farm in the Cave members in DOX Centre for Contemporary Art, Prague. 

Small number of selected candidates will continue to take part in a 5 day long company workshop taking place from 7th to 11th of December 2019. The workshop will be free of charge. Please take into consideration that accommodation and travel costs will not be covered by Farm in the Cave.

Please note that the understudy will take place in the period April - May 2020.

We are searching for a performer preferably from Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Austria and Germany. However, other nationalities are also welcome to apply.
